UNITRADE 2002 OOD was established in 2002 in the city of Sofia, with its original scope of business being collection, shipment, and temporary storage of recyclable raw materials.

„Unitrade 2002” Ltd is established in 2002 with main activity waste collection, storage and pretreatment before recovery and/or disposal (sorting, baling, crushing, pressing etc.) of paper, glass, PET bottles, plastic, nylon and wood waste. The plastic waste recycling is done at the facility Iskar. At some of the facilities, Unitrade 2002 performs also collection, storage and pretreatment of ferrous and non-ferrous scrap, end-of-life vehicles (ELV), waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE), waste batteries and accumulators (WBA).

The company is working to reduce the level of waste deposits, aiming at the maximum level of extraction of the recyclable material.

The company owns and provides the necessary tanks and press contains for waste collection and storage.

The packaging waste passes through an installation, which sorts them by type and bales them afterwards. The bale press is type KONTI 325 D with production capacity 400 cb.m/h.

The press operates on continuous, fully automated regime, with the raw materials transported to the press by a conveyor belt.
